Adult INFORMATION Letter
In the State of Connecticut, all adults (18 years of age and older) are required to apply for a Connecticut learner’s permit which is obtained through the Connecticut DMV and is scheduled online. The Learner’s permit is a 25 Question knowledge test.
All adults (18 years of age and older) who have not previously held a license in Connecticut or any other State, must take a mandatory 8hour Safe Driving Course, prior to receiving a Connecticut Driver’s License. Tom’s Driving School will be offering this 8hour course online only. Classroom instruction will begin once students are registered. This 8hour course consist of road signs and markings, vehicle control, IPDE, and alcohol and drugs. Personal g-mail account is preferred, and the cost is $130.00.
Tom’s offers on the road instruction for adults at $90.00 per hour. Private lessons will be taught in one of our cars with the student and instructor only. Pick up and drop off will be at our location at this time. Any cancelations must be 48 hours or there will be a charge.
Packages will be available for individual’s needs. All of our instructors are licensed and certified by the State of Connecticut.
Tom’s Driving School offers the use of our vehicle to take your DMV driver’s exam at our school with a minimum of 2-hours of driving, required by the State of Connecticut. Additional driving hours are available as needed. Testing cost is $225 at our location. We also provide our vehicle at the Bridgeport DMV Location at a cost of $265.00
