Drive Only License
Drive Only driver license program is for undocumented individuals who want to obtain a Connecticut Drivers License. They must have the necessary documents to be eligible. In the State of Connecticut everyone applying for a driver’s license must apply for a Learners Permit, first. The leaner’s permit is scheduled online through DMV web site. The leaner’s permit is a 25 question knowledge test. This is a test to achieve the public safety goals of encouraging all drivers to learn the rules of the road and how to drive safely.
All adults (18 years of age and older) who have not previously held a license in Connecticut or any other State, must take a mandatory 8hour Safe Driving Course, prior to receiving a Connecticut Driver’s License. Tom’s Driving School offers this 8hour course online only. Classroom instruction will begin once student is registers and payment is made. The cost is $130.00. Students will be sent an invite through email to join our online Google Classroom. This 8hour course consist of rules and regulations, road signs and markings, vehicle control, IPDE, and alcohol and drugs. Personal g-mail account is preferred.
Tom’s offers on the road instruction for adults at $90.00 per hour. Private lessons will be taught in one of our cars with the student and instructor only. All students and instructors will need to wear a mask and gloves are optional. All instructors will be cleaning the car after every student to ensure the safety of Tom’s students. Pick up and drop off will be at our location at this time.
Packages will be available for individual’s needs. All of our instructors are licensed and certified by the State of Connecticut.
Tom’s Driving School offers the use of our vehicle to take you for your driver’s exam. A minimum of 2-hour of driving is required by the State of Connecticut to take your Driver’s test in a driving school vehicle. Bridgeport $245.00
